In an abundance of caution and concern over the safety of students and families, the Archdiocese of Chicago, has closed all of the schools until further notice.
As of Monday, March 16, St. Ailbe Catholic School will be closed. In an effort to provide students with a high quality education over this period when we cannot be in the learning environment together. As of March 21, 2020, we do not have a firm date that we will return to school. The Archdiocese is committed to allowing students to attend when it is safe for students to be back in school buildings. If and when an update is available regarding the return date, you will be notified via your child's teacher, email, and a phone message.
Teachers will be available for daily check-ins. Please check websites for updates regularly. The work posted is expected to be completed and returned upon the reopening of St. Ailbe if paper or on the day assigned if web-based. This will be how attendance is taken on these days.
Please understand that we are in uncharted territory right now, and as soon as information is available, that will be posted here and sent through SchoolMessenger. Should you have any questions, please contact me directly at .

TALKING TO KIDS ABOUT COVID-19
Students have definitely heard of COVID-19 by now. This can be very scary and overwhelming for students. Having conversations about why school had to close and ways to stay healthy can help students feel safe. This is a great video to preview and share that can help give facts to tell students what is going on.
